Fetches cover images for your existing collection directly from ComicVine — removes any dependency on CLZ exports. Runs series by series in the background.

CACHE EXISTING COVER IMAGES
Downloads a local copy of whatever cover image is already on file for each comic — no ComicVine re-search, no other fields touched. Use this to catch comics that already have a cover link but weren't caught by Fill Missing Covers (e.g. its series-name search didn't match, but the comic already had a working cover URL from when it was added).

BATCH METADATA REMATCH
Re-matches every series to ComicVine using smarter name matching (strips Vol/year suffixes, uses publisher context) and updates all metadata — title, date, writer, penciller, cover artist, characters, key issue, and cover image. Runs in the background.

RE-IMPORT FROM CLZ EXPORT
Wipes the comic database and re-imports everything fresh from export_comics.csv and *-export.xml. Current database is backed up to comics.db.bak first.

DATABASE BACKUP
Copies comics.db to a dated file in backups/ and to Q:\Comic Collection\Comic Database Backup. Backups older than 30 days are removed automatically.
RECALCULATE COLLECTION DATES
Finds comics that sat on the Wish List/Show List for a while before joining the collection, using their bag & board date as evidence: if a comic was bagged/boarded recently but was added to tracking much earlier, its "New Additions" date is probably stale. Only touches comics whose collection date has never been set by an actual status change or manual edit.
